Still in tha W(rapper): Vistoso Bosses – Delirious

Ok, I admit it, I am in my mid 20s – and quite grown, Thank you! – but I am really digging this track by Atlanta’s own, Vistoso Bosses. Taylah and Kelci make up this singing/rapping duo, both 16 years and together since 2006. They are currently signed to Collipark Records (home to Soulja boy and formerly, the Ying Yang Twins). The song itself is quick, catchy and sweet. There are subtle guitar licks and easy synthesizer sounds that remind us of the airy, R&B-pop of the 90s (Blaque anyone??). The standout of the track is the shy but sweet vocals sung by Taylah (Kelci raps, I believe). Taylah showcase a youthful yearning in her voice that makes the listener feel the butterflies in her stomach. Kelci delivers her 16 bars with the sass of an ATLien young’un, with a bit of Left-Eye growl. The song has been on Youtube.com for a minute and is now available on iTunes for purchase. Not sure what else to expect from these girls, but they sound like they definitely have a future ahead of them.

  1. I think these girl are adorable, at least they’re not trying to act too sexy or anything, they’re just acting their age…

  2. I think this song is ok…there nothing amazing or fantastic about it…this might be harsh to say but like many young artists who emerges out of ATL, I don’t believe these girls will have much longevity in the music business…some might wonder, how can I make such a rash statement…but this song just doesn’t appeal to me because it doesn’t have much meaningfulness to it…On the other hand, I can easily see it crossing over to the pop charts and doing fairly well, because young teenie boppers like this kind of sound…

  3. I agree BabyRo, this is purely for the kids. And its very hard to have longevity in this game, and these girls seem like they are out to have fun. But I’m sure people said the same thing about TLC when they first came out…and they blew up!

  4. i think what they’re trying to do is appeal to the yougins (the same crowd that soulja boy had) but ya don’t know if they’ll be around in 5 years….
